From workshop to internship

"I came to Aalen University as an exchange student. After my semester of study, I wanted to add a practical semester and was therefore looking for an internship. In my first week at the new university, we were informed about the Welcome Center Ostwürttemberg in info sessions. Since I was looking for a job, I was happy to take part in the Welcome Center's events.

I particularly enjoyed the workshop on the Aalen Industry Fair (AIM). In a two-hour training session, we learned how to prepare for the job fair. Without the workshop, I would have visited the fair without a plan. But now I knew how to approach companies professionally at a job fair.

I was also very happy to take advantage of the Welcome Center's counseling services. The personal consultations were particularly helpful for me. The Welcome Center team not only advised me on job applications and job hunting, but also encouraged me not to give up and to continue my search for an internship, which helped me a lot. Today, I am doing an exciting internship and am very grateful to the Welcome Center for this."
