From internship to full-time position

During my master's degree at ESC Clermont Business School in France, I decided to participate in an exchange program and ended up at Aalen University. Part of the program was an internship semester, but as most students can confirm, finding an internship in a foreign country is very difficult. That's why I contacted the Welcome Center Ostwürttemberg, where they were very helpful in finding me an internship. I was already familiar with the Welcome Center from an online workshop it offered on the topic of job applications, which I really enjoyed at the time.

With their support, I then got an internship at a regional company, which went so well that I was offered a full-time position afterwards. However, my residence status was problematic at the time, because I was in Aalen as an exchange student and should have had to return home. The Welcome Center stood up for me, communicated with the immigration authorities, and advised me and the company on my options. Thanks to the efficient and understanding manner of the Welcome Center team, I can now stay and work in East Württemberg."
